Prep-Status of the Game! Voting Season!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Thanks for the 300 Page views so far! I feel so special to do something that has garnered that many views in a matter of 2 weeks and 1 post! Quite an amazing feat, I think! Now, its time to make this place booming more!

So, some of my new year resolutions involved Alteratio, and I wish to share those with you to make this place more livelier and to ensure you all that I am working on this!

  1. I will be weekly posting a status of my Trials & Tribulations or What am I working on Right Now or Where The HELL Have I Been every single Monday!
Yes, Monday, the beginning of the week. So, after you enjoyable weekend which I have been gruesomely working on Alteratio, you'll wake up to see that a game you enjoy is still progressing!

Good way to start off a slow Monday, I think!

  2. Regardless of what the voting turns out to be to determine what 'engine' we will be using to play the game, I will still be developing the Custom Game Engine for Alteratio on the side! This won't slow down the actual game updates, but its something I still desire to have. I want this game to be everything I envisioned, even if others don't like it or want it! It's my game, after all, and I'm simply offering you the choice to play it if you want to. If you enjoy it, then more power to you!
  3. I'm hoping to have the first rendition of the game between January and February if you decide that I am using Inform! Or, if we go the Custom Engine route, I for see it being between February and early April!

Prep-Status of Alteratio

Well, considering that I am 'in-between' jobs, and have a lack the transportation (at the moment) to possible not be in this situation,
I have plenty of time to dedicate to Alteratio!

So, currently what I have 'done' in a very rough draft format (which is how I'll post things if people decide to vote the game as a Demo) is a lot, but nothing is fleshed out due to the fact that I don't want do overstep boundaries that might be in place when I go to transition it into the game engine of choice (Ex. Too long descriptions). But that said, it's mostly down to the point of:
"What do people like, and what do people want?"

Current list of 'rough draft/outlines' completed
  • Background, though they are few and varied
  • Attributes [AMP] (With 'Sub-Attributes' called Aspects)
  • Races, the starting ones that you'll get to choose from.
  • Skills (With Possible Sub-Skills)
  • Perks, thought they are few and varied of ones that I CAN implement for sure
  • Character Starting Descriptions, might manage to make race specific ones!
  • Classes, just a few stereotype ones to start, might manage special abilities!
  • Guides, 3 to introduce you to the world and mechanics in different personalities!
  • Tutorial Area Descriptions

So, as you can see, I'm pretty prepared. The main thing I'll have to wrestle with is the functionality and display of information that everyone gets! So, I'll have plenty of time to focus on that and make it the best that I can for the first appearance of Alteratio!

Now, as you read above, tis Voting Season! I made a page all about the current Issues at hand, and what I mean by each vote.  There will be a LARGE influx of polls going up to start with a large timer, so that when we get a good amount of people on this site, they'll have time to vote as well (Since I don't know when we'll get more than 24 people who want to vote!). Note: All of these are not MAJOR issues to vote upon. If you want to do an overtly-important vote, click the link on the right sidebar and visit

The Forum where all the background stuff is being discussed!

That's all I have for now!
